High ground clearance trials type design

Recommended Posts

Hi   all.

..I want to build a high ground clearance version    for  gentle off road and street runs. Similar to a Troll  trials car of the  early 90's

Rear suspension  looks  simple enough  but front might need some major  mods

Anybody ever tried this??

Cheers and keep revving

Welcome! I think you could well be a pioneer - most folk are trying to make them lower!

it has been done as the link to the thread above shows unfortunately the ebay advert has expired. Not sure if any info was actually gained on how the car had been modified. Hopefully someone will be a long in a minute to help. Could prove to be a interesting project so keep up posted as we all love a good build thread

Well the original lotus was a trial car that developed into the 7

So it might not be such a major job to turn back the clock

I can see the turning circle being an issue !!!!!!

There's a clip on YouTube about the Cataram 7 development from a trials car I'll see if I can find it when I get 3G signal today

Welcome to the club

Hi Guys....well this could turn into something interesting ...

Re getting  lower ..I currently race a Crossle 9s   sports racer   BUT due to  a surfeit of age(of the driver) now need something  higher as my back /knees /etc  dont work so well now!!

The  pics of the Ebay car have  been deleted so did anyone have a  photo of it??
