Terzo204 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 My car is in the garage as we speak and I need 2 No. metalastic bushes having bought a fell set of Nylon bushes for my Sierra SEIW - as described on the Westfield website: "Full car set requires 32 nylon bushes, 16 metal inserts and 2 metalastic bushes for rear lower wishbone" Does anyone have any NEW bushes that can sell me? Please help! Westfield don't have any in stock at the moment and having replaced the rear bushes 2 years ago i'm desperate to replace all the bushes with new to avoid another big bill. Long shot I know but if you can help I would be very grateful. Mike
FILFAN Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Think these are the ones you need http://bit.ly/QgUuJ7
Terry Everall Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I can see why you need the kit of 32 nylon half bushes and 16 metal inserts for the 8 wishbone arms but what are the 2 metallastic bushes for? You have 2 lower rear wishbones which would need 4 bushes not 2 but why can't you use the nylon ones you already have Please explain
stu999 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Reading between the lines of OPs first post, I think he has a Sierra SDV, which doesn't utilise rod ends to support the rear uprights like an SEIW, so at least one would be needed for adjustment (example pic below) http://web.bethere.co.uk/amigafan2003/24_06_06/rearupright.jpg
Terry Everall Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Thanks Stu I see what you mean. You learn something every day Presumably still 7/16th UNF bolts
stu999 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I think a metalastic bush is still recommended even with conventional rear uprights for the same reason Tel...
Terzo204 Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Thanks for answering a question i didn't know Stu! E-bay here I come!
Bean Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 BUMP I ordered replacement trailing arm and panhard rod bushes beginning last week, told they'd arrive in 2-3 days. Just been told several weeks! Have an event planned the weekend after next, old bushes already disposed of and suspension bits at the powdercoaters Missed the link from Filfan, bushes ordered
FILFAN Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I just dont understand how something as simple as a bush can be out of stock on a regular basis. :667125_1:
