I'm glad a little bit more is being done for savers and pensioners ... long over due IMHO.

I might even take up BINGO sooner than I thought .. ;-)

Getting rid of having to buy an annuity is brilliant news for all of us, it's been an insurance industry rip off for years. As is allowing you to do what you want with your pension money.

I quite liked the budget !!!!!!

Considering we are in the worlds biggest recession

To reduce the deficit by half is fantastic news

If we don't take control spending we will have no money to help anyone, poor, pensioners, young families

Anyone

Yes, that is very sad, but at least it's now been sorted :d :D and as Labour seemed to have nothing to complain about, hopefully it won;t get undone sometime int he future. I actually think the tax they get from it will go up significantly as people do choose to do their own thing.

Actually you never needed to buy an annuity before (although most were sold them in ignorance) but there were stricter limits on the amount you could remove from your pot each year.  They have relaxed these limits.

but we are still borrowing 200m a day and it will be another 2 -3 years before ingoings and outgoings balance.  By which point we will have £1trn of debt.  Wonder how long that will take to pay off and the interest will be close to the NHS budget each year so not that great.

Government cuts have been tiny in the overall scale of the problems.

I hope as we come out of a recession meaningful government cuts can start.
