Now sold, thanks for looking.

Just like buses, you wait for years for one of these to come up, and then several come along at once!

Don't let that deceive you though, these are genuinely rare second hand, mainly because their just so effective!

This is from my XE engine - full details of the whys and wherefores were discussed at length last autumn in this thread.

Suffice it to say, it made the difference between permanent earplugs, and being able to enjoy the car more on the road without. After several months use, it

However, the Honda car I'm building doesn't have independent throttle bodies, so this is now no use to me.

Note, the Caterham box was designed for a Duratec, and to sit on the left of the car. The general size and shap wotk perfectly in a Westfield when fitted on the right hand side, however, there are two drain channels moulded in that can rub on the bonnet. These have been trimmed away, and re-covered in carbon fibre, as you can see in the shot above.

And a bit more detail on the temp sender mount:

The sub loom -

The cable coming out of the back plate plugs straight in to the normal loom.

The sender is isolated from the back plate, and positioned close to the bell mouths, so that it's reading the inlet air temps, and not being affected by heat soak from the engine. It's supported by a carbon fibre tube.

The sender is held in the end of the tube with a nut, as normal. And simply plugs into the other end of the sub loom.

And finally, here you can see it, as it will be supplied - with NO air temperature sender!
