Got around to fitting some individual stick coils on the blade motor sat in my westie today and junking the old coils and HT leads. The difference in spark is amazing, the engine appears to tick over and rev a lot cleaner than before. Didn't get time for a road test but first impressions are good. Nice cheap mod with the bits sourced from eBay.

It's suprising you get a difference, i replaced my oe leads (cec) with some 8mm and it made it sound different, much deeper.
