Hi All

Ive been out of the sprint sceen for 3 years (house and baby duties) i used to sprint an elise but have recently bought a Megabusa to sprint this year in the road going class.

I have a couple of questions:

1) Are gloves now mandatory and if so what spec do they have to meet to pass scrutinering.

2) My car has an ignition cut off switch but its not wired up correctly (doesnt do anything) i doubt ill have time to re wire it before my 1st sprint. So my question is do i need one or will a sticker on the dash pointing to the normal ignition on the steering colum suffice?

3) Towing point, i have a full roll cage do i need to attach a towing loop and sticker?  Or would they just use the roll cage ?

Im on the B19 club so will be doing their events and invited events mainly so hope to meet some of you.

Ill probably be doing Northweald on the 16th depending on the weather!

thanks!

In answer to your questions, the gloves need to be fire proof I think, and are mandatory

The sticker on the dash for the operative ignition switch should do the job, but if an isolator is fitted & not working that may confuse a scrutineer!

I would just mark the roll cage for towing

No doubt someone will be along soon if I'm wrong about this!!!!

Have fun

Would just take the kill swotch key out if it doesnt work, there is link the blue book for the glives requirement (playskool have suitable ones available.

And as above would mark a tow sticker on your roll cage, if its not marked the recovery will attach anywhere they see fit. Although knowing the events you'll be doing they know what they are doing.

Good luck, much more fun in the westy but not quite as good as a jedi.

Thanks guys, make sense to just remove the switch no confusion then. The guy who had the car before me changed the wiring so it didnt work as he was worried about passengers flicking it by accident.. or on purpose as a joke, apparently Busa engines dont like being killed without a few seconds of steady idling.

Cant wait to get out there, you're right though Pete not quite as good as the Jedi but definitly as close as you can get and still be road legal at a sensible price ;-)

class f Bernie  and I do the b19 events also.i hope to see you out this year. I might be at north weald on the 16th but it clashes with the  Rockingham  circuit . so depending on when car is finished fully need to make my mind up what event to do.
