Honda s2000 engine F20c

The factory demo car had a reasonable mileage IIRC, so well looked after, should be no issue at all.

When you say diff, you know it's a Ford Sierra/Scorpio diff, not a Honda, don't you?

I can't honestly say I'm familiar with the Honda prop, never actually seen one! The complication is likely to be the sliding joint; a Westfield prop is so short, it might be tricky getting the joint in the right place. When I built my first Westfield I had my prop custom made by Dunning and Fairbank up Leeds way, you'd possibly need to speak to so gone like that. Have to say though, on my Mega, I've just bought the Westfield prop, it was easier than messing around, even if perhaps slightly dearer.

I was'nt planning on using the diff from the doner car it's just that the seller seams to be including everything but the bodywork.

The diff will go on ebay and even if it only fetches £100, I'm half way to a new prop.

Your right about the messing about, previously i have reconned calipers and found out it would have been easier to have bought new.

Quick question, in your previous post you put 'llRC'  Whats that?

Also in for a penny as they say, Steve D posts 'wuv' a lot?

I know i'm deviating from the topic but I have to ask

IIRC is just shorthand for If I Recall Correctly.

Wuv is just  Love in Steve speak! Quite a common general term of endearment in some areas round here.

Whats the overall length of a s2000 unit so I will know if it fits in my van?

I had the prop from the Honda with my engine.... Its a bit too big and heavy for what I wanted. cant remember what the diameter of it was, but it was probably an inch and a half bigger than the old one from my zetec- so quite massive.. I had a custom one built using the flange from the Honda box end, and the flange from my old sierra diff end... The sliding joint from the Honda was handy, as it gives you a leeway of a couple of cm- ie measure length and add a cm to cover yourself as it compresses.

My custom built one was slightly bigger than the previous one, but much lighter and smaller than the Honda one...

hope this helps
