As the title says, I'm after an engine(and gearbox)

Pre 2006 with some where between 40-70k miles

It will need the alternator, engine loom, mounts and starter.

I dont need the ECU but if it comes with one then ok.

I'm looking on Ebay and have a friend looking on scrapyard sites but if anyone knows of one, shout up.

If going the factory ecu route, as you know, you need the engine loom, but I was recommended by Simon to just get the Honda ecu anyway.

You also need the Lambda sensor (primary one, from exh. Manifold)

This was the place I was recommended, clicky and is where mine came from.

He's a specialist Honda breaker, very helpful though. Got photos and video of engine running in the car before he pulled it for me.

just be careful where you buy from

there is a breakers in the Cannock area on ebay and how can I put it nice he's economical with the truth about the mileage I could see where he buys his cars from and somehow when he got the car it had lost 25k mile along the way :suspect:

The web site isn't always up to date. His ebay shop is normally current though.

Just been offered everything i need inc the diff for £2.000

04 plate but it has 78000 miles.

Are high milage engines a problem?

I was told by Raceenginedesign, that they had better numbers on the dyno from engines with over 100k! so Im sure youll be fine.

If i was to get the prop shaft thrown in as part of the deal, how viable is it to getting it altered to suit?

Posted

You can get a Prop shortened and balanced for about £80

Cheaper than buying a new one then.
