TAFKARM
I'm not sure how big an 063 is, but I use a mobility scooter battery that I I got from my local motor factor. It's the same as the RMD25 that rally design sell but was about 20 quid cheaper...
Hellski
Following a thread on here earlier this year, I've just purchased one of these from the Bay, PVR 22 Clubsport race battery.
blue ass fly
ide love one of those playskool ones but theyre more than i paid for my engine never thought of a mobility scooter battery - how much was it,got a link ? the ebay one was the one i was looking at a while ago but couldnt find it is it a wet cell, where have you mounted it dont suppose anyones got a tip on a little alternator while we"re on the subject theres talk of some little nipon ones off daihatsus or peroduo that are about 4" diameter but everything ive found is almost as big as a standard one and ive not got much room under my carbs
stu999
'Denso' Alternators = Daihatsu Charade (1990's era), Bedford Rascals etc, Some plant/ machinery have them fitted too...
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
My lightweight/mini alternator came from the local garden/farm plant specialist, it was off a Kubota mower/tractor of some description. Exactly the same 45 Amp Denso unit as normally sold with the usual Motorsport's tax, but much cheaper.

Looking at the spec sheet - Maintenance free No free acid (non-spillable battery) Can be mounted in any orientation (excluding inverted)
