guy g Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 I notice (and hear) there are a few people who have acquired front airdam/splitters from Mick Cooper and have thus far "forgotten" to pay me the required £5. It's hard to hide! Be grateful if you would all cough up at 3 Sisters on Sunday. Car 8 in the paddock so no excuses! Quote
SteveD Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 and don't forget to pay me my £57 copyright fee ! i will also be there the one abusing the welsh boy Quote
smithy Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 i will also be there collecting for the homer davies relief fund for abused welshpersons, and basking in the glory of not being beaten by any cheshire folk in any championship! Quote
windy Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 Are these splitters part of the Westfield silhouette? Quote
I.S.M Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 send one to me, free of charge obviously and i ll stick it in a wind tunnel Quote
windy Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 Ah Found it!!! MSA blue book section 37.1.7.6. Failure to comply with silhouette regs results in a £40 fine payable to the MSA & endorsement on license Quote
Rob Navin Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 Having a vested intrest I understood the silhouette reg to be over the center line of the wheels. That, I thourght, was how we got to run the rear diffusers. Quote
Blatman Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 I thought the silhouette rule was changed for this year (2003) so that it was to be judged from the ground up.......I don't have a Blue Book to hand right now though........ I guess there is a possibility that the front wheel hides enough of the nose to get past the silhouette rule........... Quote
guy g Posted October 17, 2003 Author Posted October 17, 2003 Personally I don't care. The rule when they were designed was "above the wheel centre line" and they are below. What the rule is now....... I just want the £5 off everyone that got one of Mick as that was part of the deal - and they were supplied on trust. You all know what trust means I assume!! Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 I "trust" they do Guy Quote
Rob Navin Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 anyone got a picture? Terry. If you are at 3 Sisters my fully taxed paid and fitted model will be on the front of my car. Or you can see the side shot of it in Westfield World. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 Silhouette rule for 2003 is above wheel centre lines - "unless you have a magnolia coloured car with X-flow power" The least you can do is check the rules .............. before you fit something like that and check the Blue Book rules for 2004 ........ they might be different Wanna borrow a money-box to collect all your commission Guy Quote

The shiloutte will be taken in the condition in which the car competes. " However for all Modified production cars the shilouette is taken from above the wheel hub and front air splittes are permitted below the center lines of the wheel. ( L12.4.1 & L12.4.10 ) I guess that this means there will be some carbon bits for sale. If its enforced. Quote
