War is terrible, but many of the advances we have made as a species have been due to our desire to kill each other. All the pilots who were badly burnt during WW2 advance reconstructive surgery by years. The jet engine would not have happened unless the war was fought. Trauma surgery and keeping people alive advanced due to Vietman, you cannot stop progress even though the price is high.

 

Now back to the video, wow! Technology that is so cutting edge is great and many of these drones have things which will advance other areas of our lives in the future. The downside is that people will die and those in charge will be more likely to use the technological force they have if they are not risking their forces lives. When you can wage a war from an armchair miles away from individual danger, the decisions are easier to make.

 

We are just a few years away from driverless cars, which to us enthusiasts will be awful, but to many who see them as transport, they will accept them easily especially when they are sold as being safer as you take out the humanity of them.
