Hi everyone

Ive  sifted through the forums and cannot find any details of where i may be able to buy a full set of carpets for my Seight

Russel from Westfield have said that they no longer supply them.

Can anyone help?

I have no problem making some, but it would be quicker and simpler to buy a set.

Thanks

It's not a helpful answer I know, but essentially, nowhere and everywhere. To the best of my knowledge, I don't recall seeing off-the-peg Westfield carpet sets for many, many years. So really, it's just likely to be a case of finding the nearest trimmer, or trimming supplies place, and either getting a set made, or buying the carpet and doing it yourself.

If you pick the right material, it's not necessary to have the edges bound, and only the tunnel really has much shape to it. With the gel backed carpets, some owners have reported fitting new carpet with little more than a hot air gun to shape it and scissors, knife etc to cut it.

If you have existing carpets, it will help as you have a template to work from.

Up in this neck of the woods, Martrim in Sandbach are excellent, they can both supply raw materials and produce finished carpets, if you need. There's another trimmer in Sandbach - I forget his name, though I've got his details; he did work for me on my roof, and I know he's done other trimming work for club members. In his case, it would be more a case of dropping the car off, telling him want you want, and letting him get on with it.

Otherwise, another good on-line source of raw materials is Woolies. Again, I've had stuff from them when I've been re-covering things etc.
