Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Respect for even trying that! I've got some Mirka Abralon 2000 and 3000 wet sanding pads for the DA that barely take a whisper of material off and give a superb silky finish that turns to "glass" once rotaried. But am not brave enough to try it on a tin top (apart from panels already being repaired). Quote
mikef Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 She has reported it to the police and apparently some garage doors were sprayed the same night. Here's a picture of the damage although it could have been a lot worse. They seemed to concentrate on the number plate. Quote

It was at a day where we were being shown how to do stuff like this and using a DA etc so relatively safe. when the guy started the look on my face was a picture apparently... a little worried was an understatement. but we then used 2500 grit, 3000 grit, a medium compound on a medium pad and a poilishing pad and it came up like new. we were using a depth guage at all times and we took off about 5u.
