hogman Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Mmmm nunney Ah you mean the furry ones with 4 legs and whiskers??? Ahhhhh oh yeah!! Quote
juansolo Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Get a Dreamcast. They cost b******* all now. Get Ferrari 355 Challenge, LeMans 24hr, Virtua Tennis 2 and Soul Calibur. I reckon with shrewd shopping you could get the lot, two controllers, RGB lead, memory card and vibro packs for less than £100. Top, top buy of a totally underrated console. Ferrari is a top simulator, the handling is just soooo right. LeMans 24hrs - this version NOT the PC or PS2 versions. It was completely re-written for DC and is the greatest racing game there is. 2 player particulaly. The track attention to detail is stunning, handling is good, the sheer number of cars running in races is staggering and really sets the atmosphere. A stunning game. Virtual Tennis is perfect and brilliant as is Soul Calibur. The best games of their type on any format IMO. Sure there will be no new games released for it but these are that good that it's just worth it. Other-wise it's a PS2 and GT3. Quote
Graham.J Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Basically, PS2 as it is the best games console out with the widest range of games. And don't forget it does have 2 USB ports for steering wheel etc etc Quote
Mrs Catflap Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 OR.... If it's just Splinter cell everyones after, they could wait until the 31 January and buy it for their PC. Best place to buy games and DVD's is Play.com It's mega cheap, For example: Splinter cell is going to retail at 35 quid for the PC, and it is 25 quid on play.com PLUS postage is free and they deliver quick, we've had stuff from them, extremely impressed. Also very good for DVD's and music. Mrs Flap By the way...I don't work for them ! Just impressed! Quote
ricdiggle Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 Console games are usually cheaper at www.cd-wow.com than they are at www.play.com Both sites are great though. Quote
Peter Cox Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 may I add my vote for PC's. Nothing tops a network game of GPL, although off-line TOCA2 (for playability) and Rally Championship (for graphics) are also fine games. Unfortunately, I don't get on with the current F1 games (much like the real thing). Now, if there was a club racing simulator, that would be something special! Quote
I AM NOT A NUMBER!!! Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 Now, if there was a club racing simulator ….there is, and it’s called The Lotus 7 Club Speed Championship Quote
