Captain Colonial
Been several times on business. Stunning scenery due to total lack of trees, nuclear wasteland. Alcohol very expensive, but women extremely friendly. Check out the Penis Museum (seriously). Have the minke whale, very tasty. Puffin is interesting, fishy tasting raw bird. Lots of other horrendous looking sea critters on offer to eat. TV is dire. They have almost no sense of time, up all hours. Blue Lagoon is a tourist trap. Set your face to stunned and you'll be fine. Enjoy.

kevip6
ooooo, I went for a week in March this year for a photography trip with two photography friends. We spent a week in a 4x4 drove about 3000 miles and slept about 4 hours a day (3 nights in the car at -20 degrees!) Sooo many places to see, the blue lagoon is definitely worth going to The whole island is amazing but changes quite drastically depending on the time of year. One thing that struck me when we were there was the lack of people, buildings, cars, etc... when we drove round the north side of the island we managed about 8 hours of constant driving without seeing another car! I'll try and find some of my photos
