TrophyJem Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 My mate at work has a Robin Hood 2B unbuilt kit in his garage, complete with all the extras that could be specified at the time, like alloy wheels, hood, rear disc kit etc. He even has all the donor bits for it from a D reg Sierra on a sorn. Now he's look at selling and asked me (like I would know) what it's worth. So my question is, what do we think it is worth? It's 11 years old. Quote
GuitarmanUK Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I would have thought £1500 to £2000 would be nearer the mark looking at others on e-bay. Complete cars go for £2500 upwards. Quote
User0083 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I paid £2250 for a 2.0 pinto that was 14 months post build with 53k on donor engine pre build and 3k post build. Donor was a F plated sierra 4x4, had wilwood 6 pots front (I regret selling with the car!) and golf disc rear. A few other extra's, including a T3 turbo fitted and a bailey dump valve (which soon got deactivated and internal waste gate used). That was 2010. Quote
TrophyJem Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 Cheers for the replies. I'll suggest he puts it in eBay. Quote
bigals Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Might get more if he splits and sells the components ? Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Might get more if he splits and sells the components ? Its funny, had just had exactly the same thought. It's surprising how often the parts are worth more than the whole on some of these things. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 The first thought I had was an eleven year old kit trying to pass an IVA. Quote
TrophyJem Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 I do not think he wants the hassle of splitting. His latest plan is to put it on the locost forum for 2k5 and see if anyone bites Quote

Rory's Dad Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 On Blatchat a few days ago they were commenting on Ali Answa's (?) new plans for sports cars. One said they would fail because they would have "...no history and no heritage". Now where is that tongue in cheek emoticon when you need it?? Rory's Dad (sorry for the thread drift) Quote
Dippers Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Hi Jem, What about putting it on the Robin Hood owners web site, it could be sold as is or sold for parts. Dippers. Quote
