Steve, do I have to drop the sub frame on the Civic to get the sump out? Or can I lower the off side of the sub frame and raise the o/s of the engine?

I've looked on the type r forum and they suggest dropping the sub frame. Damn!

Oh well, sounds like tomorrows job. I've got the sump off but can't get it out. I've tried raising the engine and lowering one side of the subframe but still not enough space to remove it. So subframe out.

No I didn't, thanks for telling me. I'll take it out, again, when I get the sump off

What are you doing to it, can't you just polish it.

I have polished it, in my bead blast cabinet. The new one hasn't got a crack in it so won't use a litre of oil every 4 days when not being used.
