Ty Croes parade lap, thanks and photos!

Many thanks to Dave and Sarah (plus others) for organising the parade - it was great to see WSCC members and cars make it to Ty Croes. I didn't see them lined up waiting in the paddock before joining the circuit but I know a few were a bit nervous; but as said earlier on the topic - all had massive grins after 2 laps.

My mate (Robin) and his son (Ioan) really enjoyed the oppotunity to drive the Ty Croes International circuit in my sprint car - after the parade Ioan didn't stop suggesting to his dad that they should have a Westfield!

Would have been good to have seen all 20 lined up on the actual Grid and racing heading for the first corner - but obviously not going over the 50mph limit! :)

Hi Dave, a big thank you for sending me the tickets, Mrs Bioman and I  thoroughly enjoyed the day especially the two laps of the circuit :) . It was great to put faces to names of people from the forum. I now have an urge to do a couple of track day next year :) so will be getting even more enjoyment out of the car. Looking forward to seeing some pics, again many thanks.

What a great day and what a great idea having parade laps behind a safety car when  friends and kin were able to try out a westfield "on track " under safely controlled conditions .   :t-up:

Glad I made the effort but, as I heard most others comment  "it was short but sweet"   perhaps a lap or 2 extra would have made the trip even more worthwhile,

I don't think it would have spoiled things any more for the sprint boys as most of the time and effort went towards organising and assembling those who took part , (Please WSCC and other clubs take note this could become a regular event )  :)

Great to meet up with old and  new faces and share a bit of  banter with the SS boys , what a great lot , even if some of them did look a bit dodgy ( or should that read doddery ) .

Big Thank you to all who took part in making this a great day out   :t-up:  :t-up:  :t-up:

Also like to add , as someone else noted "this must be the only track where you want to stop on each lap to admire the scenery "  :)

I've just seen some photo proofs of the sprint - parade laps on Anglesey track facebook page by the official track photographer. The parade photos are going to be passed on the Dave so he can put them on the forum

But just a sneak preview

Yes a big thank you to Dave for sorting the event and to Sarah for doing the admin / organisation etc. Oh also to SteveD for blowing my tyres up in case anyone missed that one. Some numpty hadn't checked properly - me. Wasn't going to miss the laps for a few soft tyres but MrD blew some stuff into them, what a nice man.

Her indoors enjoyed herself and also admired the view of the sea. Its a lovely track with very wide areas to make use of. Should do this more often, a good showing with I think 20 on the circuit and luckily the weather held all day. The video is ok as well although its 1.5gb and a bit misty. Must ask Dave for copies of the stills etc must have been some good shots going about.

A good run out finalised by a minor mishap but my fault (again) to my tow car, must be going senile or something. Met up with a few old and new faces and had the most humungous bacon roll I have ever had in my life. Good craik (spelling) with lots of friendly faces.

Sarah was looking for people to take up the sprint sport although I can't commit its certainly an excellent circuit which has obviously had some money spent on it in recent years. Well worth a lot more laps to get it learnt.

Well done Dave

Not just Sprinting Bob, the more we can encourage to visit Ty Croes for sprinting, track days etc, the more chance of this happening again.

Sorry to hear about the valance, and many thanks for delivering the box of flags for me!
