Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Big, big, thanks to all those that supported us; we had twenty run ears in the end and a fantastic day, I really hope everyone that took part enjoyed themselves! There were a few nervous looking faces in the paddock as we formed up, but a lot of excited grin one faces as we pulled back I to the paddock for our piccies to be taken. Thank you. Dave (Have split this off from the original pre-event thread, just to make it easier to find pics and thank you messages) Edited September 6, 2013 by gadgetman - Dave Eastwood Tidying thread up! Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 Have to say, made an awesome sight seeing a line of twenty Westfield's lapping Ty Croes, specially seeing some of the hard core SS machines in there! Quote
SteveD Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 yes thats what i thought , i reckon he let them down so his westy was more comfortable on the trailer while he was towing it Quote

FILFAN Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 The mrs loved the laps after all the forcing it took to get her to do it. Has worked out expensive though as the mrs now wants a go Quote

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 I have emailed Sarah, (the entries secretary for Lancashire and Cheshire Car Club, the organisers), to thank her personally, and on our behalf, for all the sterling work they did both making this fairly unique event happen. (You all met Sarah at signing on!) It's worth remembering that the weekends sprinting is largely staffed by volunteers, both marshals and the organising officials. These same people then volunteered again, missing their Sunday lunch break, so that we could have our laps. A few of you asked where you could email your thanks, personally. The details are: Sarah Nield - Entries Secretary, info@ty-croes.com And as before, a big thank you to YOU too, for coming along and helping make it a fantastic day. We had twenty Westfields on track in the end, of all descriptions, litterally from fantastic sounding crossflow to slightly scary sounding superscharged Honda! The photographer will be sending me a CD of the pictures, so I'll post them up once I get them. If anyone wants to send video or photos across, please send* them to ao@sprint-xe.com and I'll try and collate them into one place for everyone. *If they're too big to email, drop me a pm and I'll send you a link to upload them to. stephenh Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I certainly learned some new lines around the international track, but I'm not sure they would be much use to me in a sprint! Mrs H asked me when she got back to the paddock what I had meant when I kept telling her to unwind some lock!! Anyway, she thoroughly enjoyed it, and would be happy to do something like that again. So many thanks to all involved in organizing it. Quote
