tightscot Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I know it's a bit naff but I'm so proud of my daughters results i just had to share them. She turned in an A*, A*, A. Got her first choice at university. One very proud and pleased dad. Quote
Bigjas Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 There is nothing naff about being proud of your daughters achievement, congratulations. Jas Quote
pistonbroke Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Congrats , If she is anything like my daughter now is the time when it starts to hurt the old bank balance Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Nothing naff about that at all; you should be proud, as should she, it's a lot of hard work to get that far. Congratulations. mind you, it's also quite scary when you get to university and realise it all begins again! Quote
pistonbroke 2 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Well done Gordon Does she take after you or her Mother ? Quote
Norman Verona Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I hope you've given her a big hug and told her how proud you are of her. As we've been discussing the Glasgow mother in the video, children are a reflection of their parents so you should give yourself and your better half pats on the back as well. Give her our congratulations and tell her the grumpy old git said "well done" Quote
Stuart Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Congrats to your daughter and you too Gordon. My big lad (who is an MSc) is just about to go back into full time education for a year. He's 28! Was hoping to say hello Sunday at the Tewkesbury show but summat has come up and I now can't make it Quote
Dommo Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 those are some impressive results! well done! Quote
User0083 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Congratulations! Outstanding! Only A* I ever had was for my presentation at the end over my leadership course. Clearly a well raised daughter. Quote
User0083 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Congrats to your daughter and you too Gordon. My big lad (who is an MSc) is just about to go back into full time education for a year. He's 28! I went back into full time education for 3 years when I was 26, after 7 years out of it and it's actually a shock to the system! Quote
s2rrr Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Tell her very well done, it does get worrying from now on with the expenses and being away from the mother ship but she will survive and do well. No shame in being proud. Enjoy freshers and the first year then its hard graft. Bob from sunny Wyoming Quote
