This is an amazing co-incidence.

 

I just sent an email to my lad, who's taking his son to Lego Land tomorrow, to look out for the Caterham 7.

 

I then logon and see this thread.

He built a lego replica of his Green V8 Westie.

Very clever, but I recognise very few parts as 'Lego' as I knew it as a sprog.

 

I tried to buy some 'proper' lego for my son ages ago when we visited Legoland, but you can't buy a set of bricks for use with imagination anymore, it has to 'make' something.  I suspect the Cateringvan model was constructed from bits of these Techno kits.  

 

The trouble with this new stuff is it gets built once, then thrown in a box with loads of other techno stuff and theres no way of sorting out what bit goes with what kit, so it never gets played with again. So you have to buy another one.....
