Extract from local paper follows I hope. I've never posted an image before so if it doesn't work and anybody can tell me why, please do so. In the meantime refer to my post on the "3 slappers" thread.

Martin,

You will have to upload the image to a web site for it to work, looking at the properties of the image you've linked to it's in "my documents" on your D drive.

I'm afraid this won't work.  ???

Jon, thanks for the advice, I now realise what I was doing wrong. I haven't time to organise a web-site to host this image, as I haven't done anything like this in the past.

Looking at the map issued by the Highways Agency printed in the paper (and no they don't put it up on the Internet - I checked), as long as people approaching from the South exit at J23 (A580) and go through Ashton, and those approaching from the North ignore any diversion signage prior to J26 (M58) that may be present and continue down to J24 and exit there, then it should all still be OK, albeit with a lot of traffic exiting the M6 at both those points to slow things down.

And of course only between 10 30 pm and 8 00 am.
