Newbie looking for a spare wheel carrier

Hi everyone, I've recently bought a westfield and joined this club, I love the car but I would love it even more with a spare wheel on the back. The holes are already in the body so I presume maybe one may have been on originally. I have looked on eBay for a carrier but to no avail so was hoping someone could either point me in the right direction or maybe even have one for sale. I haven't found a matching spare wheel yet so no rush. By the way my wheels are compomotive 5 spoke alloys 15" if anyone has one kicking around. It's a long shot I know, but hey ho, if you don't ask you don't get.

Cheers

As it happens I was trying to sell one! Just hasn't readvertised. I think I was asking £25 but postage will be difficult (and not that cheap for the weight) due to the shape.

This looks like what I'm after, this may sound a silly question but what holes the top of the wheel in place??if I could arrange a courier, would you mind wrapping it up for me so I could have it collected?? Have you got an approx weight so I can get a quote?

There is a bar (I also have this hanging around), which the wheel is bolted to. I can't remember what it bolts on with but I'll take a look at the bits I have. The bar itself was glued on to the other side of the tub.

I can always find all the bits, pack it up somehow and see what the PostOffice say. Beig available for a courier is always a pain.

That'll be great if you don't mind Matt. I know what you mean with the couriers, they don't exactly stick to the times they say.

Please keep me posted on what's going on, like I say there is no rush as I haven't got a spare wheel yet.

I've found the two bolts (like extra extra long wheel bolts) so that's a complete set now. The bar that goes the other side of tub has two nuts welded in that these screw in to after passing trough the wheel. The bar does a really bolt to the tub. Think mine had been bonded for extra security!

I'll try to pack them tomorrow evening and see what I can produce. I'll take a photo of the bits also.

Brill, it sounds like they will fit. My body work has 2 lower holes with two almost jubilee type clips welded to the frame and I haven't looked, but has 2 holes higher up with grommets in which I presume will have the bolts welded on.

I appreciate all your help and look forward to hearing from you tomorrow. I can either send you a cheque or bank transfer you the funds after we sort out postage.

Here's what I'm trying to pack up. Not the easiest of shapes!

Put a bolt in each end of the square bit. Tape the square bit the the plate. Then wrap the plate and then the two "legs".

Just write on the outside "Machine Gun Stand"

I've made a reasonable job of it. Could have done with another couple of metres of tape though!

That's brill, just let me know how much and where to send the money and we're on a winner. Really appreciate all your help. I'm actually frying to Thailand on we'd morning so if you can let me know before that would be great.
