Norman Verona Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 We have friends staying with us. Ian is the only bloke I've ever let drive my car on the road. So we went in the 7 to Angers for a seafood plate full (x 2). HM and Jo went in her car with Smiley Sam, their one year old. Ian drove back. It's all come back, great blat on fast open (safe) roads. Even though the temp gauge got to 100 and the sun was beating down at what must have been nearly 50. Must do it again - soon! Quote
Young Pretender Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I hadn't really gotten out much this summer but have had a few good runs in the last couple of weeks that have really wet my appetite. Happy days. Well done. Don't leave it too long for the next one Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 If I can keep my beloved away from helicopter rides to hospital I'll get out in it more. 2 weeks away from second anniversary of last (and worse) stay in hospital, so looking good. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Fingers crossed, more joy rides for you Norm, and none for HM ooh, sorry, I could have phrased that better, forget I mentioned fingers! (Hope this means you're feeling a bit better...) Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 Stitches out today. They're not actually stiches, more like rope. There are about ten. This is going to hurt! Quote
Rory's Dad Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I'm afraid it will hurt Norm - remember what I said about the number of nerves?? Take in a big stick to bite on... Rory's Dad Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 I'm about to take some codeine and have a bottle of red for this afternoon. I'm as prepared as a boy scout. Quote
