Norman Verona Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Wow, that's the second time today they've given him that money. Wonder what the interest per minute. Quote
M444TTB Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 That some quantitative easing by PayPal. I think there's only c.$10 trillion in the world! Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Matt, it would appear there's as much as you want to print these days. Gold Standard, what was that? Quote
M444TTB Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Just proves eBay must be charging too much if one of their subsidiaries has all the money in the world to give away Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Yes, but it's our money, isn't it. Hang on, I'm just going to see if my overdraft is all tucked up comfy. Quote
User0083 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 It's all just numbers now. Money vanished somewhere in the Millennium panic over computers! Amount of times I've taken a large sum of cash and been turned away "credit card only!" I don't own a credit card. Was a battle for me to get a debit card. I like to physically hand over pictures of our beloved Queen and feel the cold hard cash. Quote
User0083 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Maybe the deposit was meant to go to Norman as compensation and refund? A kinda "if we give you this, please stop the emails." Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 WE used to run a 30 vehicle hire fllet. No real problems until the manager left. The new person, against orders, started taking cash. I was chasing cars all over the place when they didn't come back. She just had no sixth sense and was conned time and time again with stories about "I've left my card at home and really need the car to visit my sick mother" In the end I closed it down, more trouble than it was worth. User0083 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I'd paid cash up front, before hiring and leave passport there as deposit. Quote
