Oi, what a day I had today.

If you're not sure where you may have heard that before it's a line from Barbara Striesand in Funny Girl, the cd of which is playing on HM's car.

We had a lazy morning then at 13:30 left to go to Sennone a race track about 20 minutes away. An afternoon of racing where the girls HM and Jo, our friend) won on every race they bet on.

Left there at about 18:30 so missed the last two races. Went home changed and fed Sam, Jo and Ian's 11 month old lad and then went to Angela's 40th birthday party. I do like hog roasts.

We left there at about 21:30, went home and changed the babies bum and went of to Pouance to watch the midnight firework display for, what we call, Bastille Day. The French just call it a public holiday and have no idea what you're talking about if you call it Bastille day,

Got home about 01:00, exhausted and had the first good night sleep since trying to make an 11th finger.

So how is the headache then ?

Played with the band last night at a Bastile do in St Helens . Frog legs and slimy snails in the buffet .

Ate a few snails but passed on the legs.

No headache, I rarely suffer from hangovers.

I like snails and frog legs taste too much like chicken so I'm not a big fan.

I posted on your daughters clutch thread about a local chap, ex jazz band session man.
