WestyNottm Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 As an aside, if you read the data there is no reason that run flats cannot be repaired, so long as you have not exceeded the mileage and speed. Had one go down overnight on my daughters mini, not been fun flat but had a small nail in the centre of an almost new tyre. It was the devils job to get it repaired as there seems to be a gentlemans agreement not to do them, just incase. Got it done and it was fine for £7.50 as opposed to £280 That was my experience with BMW. They are targeted on tyre sales so are keen to replace not repair. As mentioned, I paid for a puncture in a BRAND NEW tyre with full 8mm tread before I found out. At least I kept the punctured tyre which I intend to have repaired locally and keep 'in stock'. Scandalous. Quote
dombanks Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Ive just bought a 335D M sport today and last owner has fitted none run flats and what a difference in ride, almost feels ..... normal... ! Yes it does. Quote
jeff oakley Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 It is the same with the Mini, my daughters new one has not got runflats, it has a tin of foam, but the ride quality is so much better than the one with runflats. It no longer jolts the fillings out of your head. Quote
