Chris Leetham
Hi Guys Can anyone advise where to find the M22 Nut for the Westfield reverse box? I had an issue with the rear prop bouncing all over the place and as we removed the box, it was just a case of a loose nut. On contacting Westfield, they told me that they will not be ordering any in and gave me the manufacturer details of EMR Engineering (who were helpful). They do not manufacture this nut anymore and have non in stock. He said he will email the drawings through. Westfield said that it is a standard M22 nut, but EMR said it was specialist as the thread is very fine. I do have a family friend who can manufacture one for me, do do not want the expense if anyone can advise on an alternative? Is it worth putting the old one back on with a load of Loctite? Norman Verona
I'd refit the existing nut. Can you make a lock tab to secure it.
Deanspoors
If you can get the thread pitch, you should be able to order one from the internet easily enough, e.g. an M22 Fine thread nut - http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/M22-x-1-50-Nyloc-Nut-DIN-985F-A1_AKSZQ.aspx
