jeff oakley Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I know it is a link to the daily mail however. When people were getting wound up about others not thinking that what Andy Murray had done was worthy of a Knighthood, I suggested there were better cases. Well here is one. A 25 year old and his family had raised £20k for him to have stem cell treatment in the hope he could walk again. However after hearing of the plight of a youngster who needs money for an operation abroad, he has given him the money instead. In helping this child he has lost his chance of ever walking again. This is my definition of a hero, someone who has done something extrordinary for someone else with no gain for himself, quite the opposite http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2360154/Paralysed-man-raises-20-000-treatment-help-walk--gives-away-help-disabled-child-steps.html Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Jeff, how about Ben Parkinson, personal courage that many could only dream of. HERE Quote
