windy Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Yep all booked up but the Westy's not even near being ready yet Escorts going to get an outing abroad then Windy Quote
Guest Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Small Angry One and me going out on Saturday 19th - trying to make a holiday of it. Promise not to drive the courses at all -- those who have seen me drive will know that this will not make any difference anyway!! If you let me know when you are all arriving - I will arrange for the IOM 1st Boys Brigade and Cubs to pipe you off the ferry. Tommo - we need to talk about where you are going to park your weekend house. The owner of the cottages is a bit reluctant to let you in now that "other people" have booked in also. Phone me please!! Linds Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 What happened to Dave Uren, Lindsay P, Schumacher twins etc etc Cant vouch for Dave, Richard or Phil but I would love to have gone. However, thanks to the sorry state of the IT Industry, I just couldnt justify the cost. Linds Quote
RICHARD+PHILIP Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 Richard chickened out of using the slick car on the bumpy roads so we are doing both days at ollys mount this year. and saving some money Phil Quote
windy Posted March 3, 2003 Posted March 3, 2003 Richard chickened out of using the slick car on the bumpy roads so we are doing both days at ollys mount this year. and saving some money 4 events for £300 is pretty reasonable and its only 1 trip to the IOM. "Cost a packet" seem to want to stop us going to the island though - if only they were more reasonable on the ferry rates I'm sure more people would be going. FTD in the Escort may now be possible!!!!! Quote
The Duck Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 Can not go, Due to having 4 weeks of work No overtime, No IOM trip thanks to the NHS well one thing they were 3 months early getting me in see you all at three slappers Quote
Arm Posted March 4, 2003 Author Posted March 4, 2003 Ducky You wouldn't want to go anyway, roads are far too rough and bumpy. Would shake everything to bits and with you having had that operation on yer pinkie it might be a bit painful. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 Gotta agree Graham - it does look good but costapacket ferries wouldn't do a deal on their £543 for my mobile tent and trailer for the week Quote
windy Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 Gotta agree Graham - it does look good but costapacket ferries wouldn't do a deal on their £543 for my mobile tent and trailer for the week Why don't you leave the mobile tent at home and drive the Westy instead? Windy Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 On yer bike Windy I'm getting far tooooooo old for all that uncomfort - Remember Le Mans 95, 96 and 97 Nothing like pulling over and putting the kettle on when you need a break Quote
SteveD Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 more like after travelling all that way you would have vibrated so far down into your new seat that we would not get you out ,not that you are a lardy or owt spam boy Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 and my mobile tent has recliners with armrests - tis like sitting in an armchair mmmmmmmmmmmm coffee, bacon butties and cold beer New seat, nah its old now - got some other shiny new bits Quote
