Hammy Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Any one have an experience of Gauges etc using the OBD2 port of your motor -various exist on flee bay and the other worlds- has anyone every used them ,any comments, impression ? Quote
WINGNUT Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Not sure if im reading your post correct or not! But i have seen the little bits of kit that plug into your diag socket and you can read through your phone, one of the lads at work has it and really rates it! The basic one allows fault code reading only but if you upgrade it can read and erase faults and go into vehicle parameters too think the whole lot set him back around £30 Quote
Hammy Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 I've seen some very expensive gauges that can be programmed to show certain values , eg water temp- just looking for any experiences You're right there are also things such as OBD2 to wi fi adapters to connect to your phone . Quote
Ian Podmore Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I've got a bluetooth unit (£10 off the bay of fleas) and use software on phone or tablet. You can borrow it if you just want to have a look etc. The software can be used to be configured into a 'dashboard' in any layout you want if that's what you want. Quote
