nearly done Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Hi every body after much soul searching I think I have made the decision to sell my Westy. Here is a brief run down of her. Ordered as a starter kit at Donington 2007. Wide body SDV using a Sierra donor. Finished and IVA `d in June 2011 (I know its a long build but we moved and had a extension/Grand child to contend with). Since then its covered around 1100 dry miles currently taxed (summer use only) and Mot`d. Powered by a 205 injection blocked Pinto this was subject to a bare block rebuild using ARP bolts, new shells, gaskets etc etc. New water pump. Head acid cleaned, seats re-cut, new guides, skimmed and the ports cleaned up a bit. New Polo rad. Genuine factory loom. Factory springs and shocks. Induction taken care of by a set of FZR 1000 bike carbs on a proper ali manifold (courtesy of Fast Dan). Carbs fettled and jetted by Bogg Brothers. Complete new electronic ignition system courtesy of Bestek (top gear). Type 9 5 speed- no crunching or baulking. New clutch, fly wheel skimmed. Overhauled Sierra calipers with new vented disks, 9 " drums at rear with new shoes and fitting clips. Full set of ETB electronic instruments. Carbon effect dash. Splashed out on genuine carbon fibre cill protectors. Aeroscreen . Finished in best colour Chrome Yellow shod with new 13" Yoko tyres on RS type alloys (from a Capri). Carpeted interior with Cobra style seats drivers side with harness passengers has normal seat belt. Nose cone has some cracks in the Gel coat thanks to a unexpected meeting with a Pheasant. Lots of receipts and pictures of the build up ( I will put up a link to My Photobucket account this weekend. Car drives really well and I should think its putting out around 140 bhp. Now for the best bit its on a Q plate so a) it will never age and b) more importantly you can drop what ever engine in you see fit and not have to worry about the damn emission readings when MOT time comes around Any interested drop me a p.m . Looking for around £6800 but obviously we can negotiate. Thanks, Sean
