Norman Verona Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Hi Steve, great photo. Which plane is it? I'll give you a ring as soon as I get a minute. Been clearing up the place, 7 trips to the tip (in the Fiat) and now tiling the front. Quote
7sRWild Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Hi Norm Sounds like you are up to your eye balls again. This Reno thing never stops does it.. We have sorted out the flood in the basement that occurred while we were at your place. All fixed now sooooooo on with the rest of the mods. The plane in the pic is a Lancaster, it's housed here in Nanton in the Bomber Command air museum. They have three of the engines running and will have the fourth one running by the middle of August. They will never fly this plane but to hear all four engines running will be a lump in the throat moment. Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 In the latter parts of the war nearly all bomber crews were trained in Canada, hence so many WWII bombers. Best I could do is: The original hi-res is better as you can see the grille of my car. The plane is a C4 (I think, AJ will know) transport at Brize Norton. Quote
pistonbroke Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 great shot , love the dramatic shadow effect with the sun being low Quote
ajpearson Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 It does look like a Galaxy from that picture, but I am not that much of a spotter Quote
