Inspired by one of Norman's questions!

OK, I admit, it's a slightly dreary drizzly Saturday here, and I keep diving back into the garage out of the showers. So need a distraction!

Norman asked why someone picked a particular username in another thread.

I suggested it might be from a nickname, which got me thinking about those childhood nicknames most of us probably had! What were they, do you still use it?

Mine was mainly Clint right the way through till I left school, then it just stopped by itself. A few used to call me Easty, and a few more used names I'd have to write myself a stern warning for if I repeated on here!

Not sure I had a nickname at school but I was Norman the foreman at work. I wasn't foreman but I guess I was "bossy".

Had several,

School mates call Cherryoli (guest)

College mates call me Chezza (don't know where that came from!)

Military people call me Cherry or Corporal C

Uni/Work/family/wife and anyone that meets the wife is Stephen. Mrs C hates people calling me anything other than Stephen.

There are few other names you've been called :-)

Only by you darling

I've only ever called you Stephen, which, as you say, is the correct way to address you.

Haha

I was only playing.

As this is in "stuff and nonsense" I can ask how the weather and Blatting is in France. At the moment. I'm medically unable to drive till at least Aug 15th's assessment. So April 15 - August 15 not so much as reversed car into a parking space for Mrs C... I miss it. Passenger rides with Mrs C across Brum have given me greys!

Weathers a bit iffy, but last week was very good but rained Thursday night. Was supposed to rain Friady but was just dull. Todays has been cloudy up until about an hour ago. Now very warm and sunny.

Predicted light showers for Tuesday but rest of week should be sunny band warm.

Blatting is very good. empty roads and almost no Gendarmes on the back roads.
