Is it just me?

I often read all these post sl@gging off Westfield for not answering the phone or sending stuff out when they say they will.

Well here's my latest dealing with WF,

Yesterday afternoon phone parts.

Get the dreaded answering machine.

Phone again 1 minute later, get through.

Young girl answers, so I ask for parts, she say's this is parts, so I tell her what I want.

She goes away to check stock.

All ok, will be in the post today.

Part arrives in this mornings post.

It happens like this most times I phone WF :d

So well done new girl, sorry I didn't catch your name properly, I think it was Emma or Gemma, but my ears aint what they were :t-up:

Good call... I've only ever been mighty impressed with the staff of the firm

Paul, can you shout a bit louder please, I'm a bit deaf, you know.

I've always got the feeling that the staff are unfailingly great, but saddled with crap management. By which I mean, management are responsible for providing the staff with what they need to do their job.

All credit to them. Would have thought it's a must to generate revenue from parts sales.

i think they HAD to get better at parts sales as you can buy loads of parts elsewhere .

and most of the time a lot cheaper...

but i guess we need to keep supporting them...

That would be Emma. She was very helpful when I last called parts. I also dealt with her via email to arrange getting the correct scuttle ordered. Of course I say this assuming the right one turns up :p

Nope, I just look young for my age, it's my baby soft skin that does it ;)

When we had to deal with the 11% cap on Jap imports in out Datsun dealership I stocked up on body panels, lamps, bumpers etc and mailed every body shop in the London yellow pages. Two vans and lots of promotions, like a free Kodak camera on orders over £100 and the best was a magnum of Blue Nun sparkling wine (Sichel, the Blue Nun company were customers).

Our parts department was the most profitable part of the whole dealer operation.
