yet another building question

Jim, thanks, I'll spread a 5-1 mix of PVA. The concrete was laid last October so should be cured by now (I know it always "cures", but it wasn't laid yesterday).

I spent half hour this morning hoovering it and it's dust free at the moment.

The reason I want to use PVA is that I have about 6 x 4 litre bottles of the stuff, left here when the gites were built.

The chap who'll be laying the tiles will use sand and cement, everyone here does, for these "bricks".

Just to explain, a friend, Jacob, is building this porch. He started last October, and we've just got the windows and doors in. I want to finish it off myself but HM says he'll be upset if I do so leave it to him. He announced on Saturday morning that he couldn't finish it before October as he has other work to do. This was after I went to his house to get the lock so I could fit it and we could use the door to go in and out. He said he would come round and do it. Turns out he has drilled the hole for the tumbler to near the edge so accuses me of buying the wrong lock as the tongue is too close to the edge. He has cut a bit off the tongue. He comes round and then decides he needs more cut off and promptly cuts the other end, lock is RIP. We go and buy another lock, cut a bit off and fit it.
