VW Eos Anyone had one ?

It's time to upgrade Mrs H's car again, now she's always wanted a convertible and I prefer these new convertible coupe style cars so the VW EOS has taken her fancy.

That roof looks very complicated and I wondered if anyone here has any experience of these cars, bad or good!

No but my old service manager worked at VW and said they were a nightmare for letting water in!

How true? not sure myself

My WO at work has one, I've been in it a few times, seems ok and she's never said anything bad about it.

However, I have heard of many issues with metal folding roofs and I've noticed a lot of manufactures have reverted back to cloth tops. I've heard handling changes massively with folding tops and they take up a lot of boot space.

Marto, spoke to the owner at work, she has a 2007 model, ex demo, got it 2008 with 6,000 miles, now it has 80,000 miles and she said it's never leaked, never had an issues and as a military person engaged to a military person other side if the country she does a lot of motorway miles. In the summer, roof down at 65mph it's fine, hit about 85mph and it gets a bit windy. Petrols's great, 2.0 FSI is here model. Her fiancé had a Z3 and last year changed it for a "sportier version" of the EOS, in black.

All good reviews from her.
