jak Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Just to say thanks to Norman & Lynne for making us feel so welcome. Had a great time last night at the music festival with beer and food, then a good time in their house until the early hours!! :-) Quote
martyblues Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Better than sitting in a little hut with me ? Quote
User0083 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Sounds great, I tried talking Mrs C into going there, within 24hrs she booked Mexico for that week... Next leave we had coming up, she booked a cruise... First two weeks of September was a possibility... No, Milan and Rome got booked!!! She's not keen on a holiday based on Blatting around France! I said that there would be little driving and much drinking... Still not sold to her yet! Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Thanks John & Deb, it's a pleasure to have you here. The weather's getting better from tomorrow so you'll be able to get out and about a bit more. Pity we couldn't do Le Mans today but we'd have been like drowned rats. Quote
Spire Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hi hope the route there was better than the one Malc did on the last run. Hope you have a good time and the MG goes well. Mark Quote

Norman Verona Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I must get that grass cut! Lynne showed me some of the other photos you took on your days out and about. We were very impressed, I think living here we have become blase to the scenery and architecture. Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Lawn, it's 10 acres in total. There's another field on the other side and large areas on the other side of the two buildings. That's why it takes 3 days to cut and strim it all. It's got out of control this year due to the long periods of rain we had earlier in the year. Some of it is now higher than me! There's more HERE Quote
Gordo Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Roll on August, really looking forward to time at the Gites with family Quote
jak Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 You'll have a great time, recommend going here : http://www.lesmachines-nantes.fr/en/ Quote
jak Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 If anyone is going and wants any information on the places we went, etc contact me. We will be going again, hopefully with a day in Paris as well. Quote

If you want me to se you some of my pictures for your website let me know. Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Very true. I was born and dragged up in London yet only went to the Tower as a tourist once, when I took my kids. Quote
