Just to say thanks to Norman & Lynne for making us feel so welcome. Had a great time last night at the music festival with beer and food, then a good time in their house until the early hours!! :-)

Sounds great,

I tried talking Mrs C into going there, within 24hrs she booked Mexico for that week... Next leave we had coming up, she booked a cruise... First two weeks of September was a possibility... No, Milan and Rome got booked!!!

She's not keen on a holiday based on Blatting around France! I said that there would be little driving and much drinking... Still not sold to her yet!

Thanks John & Deb, it's a pleasure to have you here.

The weather's getting better from tomorrow so you'll be able to get out and about a bit more.

Pity we couldn't do Le Mans today but we'd have been like drowned rats.

Hi hope the route there was better than the one Malc did on the last run. Hope you have a good time and the MG goes well.

I must get that grass cut!

Lynne showed me some of the other photos you took on your days out and about.

We were very impressed, I think living here we have become blase to the scenery and architecture.

Thats what I call a lawn

Lawn, it's 10 acres in total. There's another field on the other side and large areas on the other side of the two buildings.

That's why it takes 3 days to cut and strim it all. It's got out of control this year due to the long periods of rain we had earlier in the year. Some of it is now higher than me!

There's more HERE

If anyone is going and wants any information on the places we went, etc contact me.

We will be going again, hopefully with a day in Paris as well.

That does tend to happen, we take a lot of local attraction for granted here, too.

If you want me to se you some of my pictures for your website let me know.

Very true. I was born and dragged up in London yet only went to the Tower as a tourist once, when I took my kids.
