Norman Verona Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Two whole pints! That's a real disaster. Are you insured? Quote
KugaWestie Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I have just had a minor kegging disaster! I washed out the keg and sterilised it prior to filling, and forgot to close the tap before decanting the latest brew into it. I started the decanting and went upstairs to the kitchen to get a measuring spoon and mixing spoon to administer the finings, and when I got back down to the basement there was beer all over the floor of the bar area! After I'd mopped it all up and washed the floor, I estimate at least two precious pints had been swilled down the drain. As my dear old Mum used to say: "More haste, less speed!" Mopped it all up? What were you thinking man? Surely you should have been down on your hands and knees licking it up!!!! Quote
KugaWestie Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Tonight I have cracked open the first bottle of the bitter that I recently brewed. The brew was started on 19/7/13 and bottled on 28/7/13, and has come out at 5.33% ABV. I am quite pleased with myself, it is tasty! Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Mopped it all up? What were you thinking man? Surely you should have been down on your hands and knees licking it up!!!! I had to let the cat have his bonus, obviously! Quote
