Steve_Farrimond Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 So does anyone know anything about the cars build or usage in anyway? does Charles not live in that house in Holmefirth anymore? When Charles bought the car is was three years old, and had two previous owners, anyone know anything about them? thanks very much everyone, I find this quite interesting. Quote
Steve_Farrimond Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 car when I got it after a few little mods this is the car so far. Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Richard Carroll was anal about longing after his car not sure if he sprinted/hill limb it I think he did. There would have been plenty of money thrown at it to keep it right. Charlie also looked after it. And most of the time it was driven sensibly and within reason and saw plenty of action. They car did have a governor on when Charlie had it was called Karen. Suffice to say its been looked after well through its life and did three tours down to Le-Mans with us and proved v reliable . I don't think Charlie used it that often after 2008 and probably was laid up for years and I guess that's why Charlie sold it. I've sent him a text to the last contact number I had for him but had no reply yet. You should be able toget a hold of him via Simon Brumfield on face book...as they were very close mates and he should have contact details I'm sure HTH Buzz Quote

Terry Everall Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Richard Carroll lives in Colton in Leeds which is about 2 miles from Swillington. He sprinted his yellow Busa and not the Zetec as far as I remember Quote
Steve_Farrimond Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Buzz - that's great to hear. I'm assuming Richard Carroll was the second owner? As there has been 3 other that's me. Terry - that sounds about right, it didn't have anything special such as ARB's and after our discussion the other week you know the suspension wasn't set for the track. Quote
JOCKER Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Great to hear a bit of history of the car. Been to LeMans 3 times also. It will be 4 next year Quote
