User0083 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 This would flag up a potential fraud issue with that card. Where it may have been used on someone else's account. As I said, potential issue. But could be worth checking if another account has your card details. Quote
ALLADDIN Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 No, wont accept that as it will only allow a UK address to be entered. /quote] Thats not correct. I have received and made pp payments from / to. all over the world. And the plan was French to UK anyway. ? Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 Alladin, the linking routine for a credit card to your account is fixed as a UK address. We're not talking about buying stuff across borders, The problem is PayPal and now, Worldpay, reject cards issued in one country but registered in another. All my UK cards are registered at my French address. Both these card clearance companies take it on themselves to reject the card when making purchases because of this. If they would submit it to the issuer it would be cleared for payment but they choose not to. Another problem is they reject a transaction on a UK card being processed from a non-UK IP address although that appears to be Worldpay not Paypal. In the past 7 years I have not been able to process an online payment on paypal. Ebay marked me down as a non-payer until I explained that their sister company Paypal rejected the payment not my card company. They removed the notice as soon as the realised. Quote
