I'm about to attack someone (with) using an axe

In order to use paypal I have changed one of my cards to a UK address.

 

I have entered all the data and address in my paypal account.

 

I'm trying to make a payment but it says:

 

We're sorry, but that credit card can't be linked to additional PayPal accounts. Please link a different credit card.

 

 

I have tried another card which is registered to my French address and that says the same.

 

Does anyone know what I should do to use paypal?

No, wont accept that as it will only allow a UK address to be entered.

 

I've sent a message to the seller and hopefully he'll ring me and give me his bank details for me to do a transfer.

I'll try and remember that. However my axe is very big, you could chop a tree down with it. Could also chop paypal down.

 

The seller has responded. He can take a UK cheque, a UK postal order or cash £ or €.

 

I cannot get a PO unless one is sent to me. I've no idea (well I do) where my UK cheque book is, last used it about 7 years ago. I'm not sending him cash in the post.

 

I only hope that Steve can pay it but I have a horrible feeling that the item is now linked to my paypal account so it will reject his payment. Hope I'm wrong.

Came down this morning and had an email from Ebay. Basically apologising for the problem and giving me the Ebay contact details. 

I thought I'd try once more so logged on and tried linking the card, for the 6th time. It worked. I then set up all the other stuff they suggested and then paid for the item. 

 

Coincidence or what?

 

So, best tell Steve not to pay it.

As I read this I was about to make the same offer as Steve.

The problem wasn't with the seller it was PayPal - again.

 

I changed the address of one of my cards to the UK so as to stop the nonsense of Paypal (and now Worldpay) not accepting my cards as they are not registered in the UK.

 

Paypal would not allow me to link this card to my account so I could pay for something I bought on Ebay. It gave no reason just said to use another card. Not possible as the address used would only allow a UK address. Had I used my UK address on another card it would be rejected as the address wouldn't match with the card issuers.

 

I'll C&P Ebay's email, it's interesting.
