Anyone else having problems with their btinternet email?

My problem started yesterday. I can get into my email in box, and I can open emails, but most of my "control buttons" have disappeared, so I can't reply to an email or forward an email or compose a new email. I tried ringing for help yesterday, but if I understood the lady from India correctly, she wanted me to try sending myself an email. When I asked how, she said to click on the compose button, but as it had disappeared that was an impossibility. :bangshead:  :bangshead:

She then told me that the server was being upgraded and it should be ok today. No such luck. bl**** computers, they wasted about 2 hours of my day yesterday trying to get it resolved, and look like doing the same again today. Why oh why do they have to be so difficult to work, my car is a doddle in  comparison.

I've been getting grief with the bt yahoo servers for a while now. Don't use the webmail client though. I think BT are changing mail provider to google soon.

Are you still trying to use the old classic version of bt/yahoo mail? As on the 3rd June it stopped working and you'll need to upgrade.

Another BT user here and no problems all working fine

Sky has gone over to Yahoo and it's bloomin' 'orrible.  No pictures ever shown - have to click them 'on' - every time.  Sky used to ask if emails from this sender were trusted, click yes, and emails from say Halfords always showed the pictures.  Sending out group emails is 'orrible too.

How would I tell/know if I'm using the classic version? Is that a bit like the Cortina version?

You would know if its Classic if it has been the same style/look for about 12 months, if it has you need to "upgrade" ;)  :)  :d

Turns out it was a problem with my Google (home page) link to my email, or so said the 3rd. person I've talked to over the course of the last 48 hrs. or so. This chap took over my computer (from India!) and has made BT Yahoo my home page when I click on my Internet Explorer icon on the desktop.

I've deleted the Google Chrome icon from the desktop so I don't try using it by mistake.

I had to sign-in on the boardroom again, having eventually found my password. Computers might save a lot of time and effort when they are working, but don't they waste such a lot of time when things go wrong. :arse:  :arse: :A***:
