TVR 350 & Noble M12 in the same place

just a bit of a pipe dream at the moment... (but you know how these things go) :d

but does anyone know a dealer where I can find both the above vehicles at the same place so I can do a few comparisons?

I have come across Kerridges at Needham market (but they don't currently appear to have a 350) - any others?

and any other thoughts on running either of the above?

I have done a bit of reading up already and if I went for the noble it would perhaps be the later "R" with the better gearbox and diff

seams like the 350 didn't change too much other than a few simple bodywork changes and  sun visors etc - oh would try to pick one up that has had the engine mods or replacement engine

Try Christopher Neil's in northwich Cheshire

They are noble dealers and ex tvr dealers

Hope this helps

I owned a T350c from new and have driven a couple of Nobles.

I would prefer the TVR - one of the prettiest cars thery ever made.  Both are more like factory built kit cars rather than proper production car quality but I was shocked how the undertray of a noble is just fixed on with about 50 self tapping screws into the chassis.

I have a friend who lives not to far from you that still has a T350 and I am sure would take you out.

Thanks guys

@David - that would be great chap - would you mind contacting him for me and asking if he would be ok with me popping over for a quick look? If so please PM his contact details :t-up:

Must admit the 350 is IMO one of the best looking cars I have ever seen (within sorta affordable budgets anyway)

Hi Cleggy

The 350 is basically the same as my Tamora with a roof. All the TVR 'T' cars...Tamora 350 and Sagaris cars are all the same in the respect of Interior  wheels engines etc with following exceptions

The Sagaris had wider and a different suspension pick up points along with the 4.0 speed six engine

The 350

can have a Red Rose engine( generally a bit more power) with a few more trinkets etc or even a 4.0.

body wise there’s 2 options the 350 and the 350T the is basically a targa top and a bit rare buit there out there

Now the golden rule with all T cars is SERVICE by a main TVR dealer and look at all paper work etc

Try and avoid early cars as the usually have the chocolate built speed six basically built with poor quality bits and had a lot of failures. If the you find an early car with an engine rebuild make sure you see proof of it and see which co has done it the best out there are TVR Power,ST8six and Racing green. Other wise the later cars post early 03 should be fine but again check the service etc

Other than the odd fault they are brilliant car it will never be a Westfield but it will not be far off with the benefit of a boot, doors and decent economy. They are a brill GT car and are a well sorted handling car id you traditional get the rear end out type

driving ;) or just plodding around then you'll love you'll for me it was a great move. AAll the bull about TVR been unreliable seems to be crap. I’ve done 15k miles in the car since Ive had it (20months) and I thoroughly enjoy and as cheap to insure as the SEiGHT. If you are good with the spanners you'll be fine which you are...there’s a lot of polisher on the TVR seen and they do miss the basic machnicing things and you wonder how TVR got such a bad reputation ;-)

The T cars are a bit of a kit car in most respects the engine is an Allan Melling designed engine which basically is a road race engine the gear box is Ford T5,Front  brakes AP rears Ford, ECU MBE. power steering titan, along with a load of bits from VW,ford and Vauxhall. There's plenty of bodies about and spare parts as for the TVR club well the kindest thing I can say is its not a patch on the WSCC I found it pretty 'clicky'  altho' there are some good guys. As for the technical side pistonheads is usually the place to go but there you'll find a lot of people who read far to many fast car mags and think they know everything about engineering...but yet again there is  3 or 4 guys who do know their stuff. I usually get my info from the guys a Track v Road in Lancashire they're a top bunch of guys.

If you need anymore info just drop me a mail with your mobi and I'll give you a bell.

As for the Noble I've only experience of the M400 I’ve never driven it as my mate never takes it out its rapped up at the back of his factory! and has not been used for 3 years to my knowledge which is a sin bearing in mind he's an WSCC owner/member!

Any way I hope this helps

Can't believe your really thinking of selling the westy mate :(

If I do sell it I won't be away for long as I will need a track/road westy....

will be keeping trailer/tyres etc until I get myself sorted

all the above might not happen - the decider will be how my lug hole copes with Wales :(

I think you should try turning the exit pipe under the car like mine, it might make the difference
