Norman Verona
Not on sale yet, just going on field trials. Google are hoping to launch it in two years time. It is the future, think about it, just needs a bluetooth keyboard and you're away. PC's and Windows will be a thing of the past. Now you know why Google bought Motorola. Ian, but the guy from Star Trek couldn't watch lesbian porn.
Captain Colonial
The one amusing thing is that people who can't walk and chew gum at the same time will buy these things and entertain us all by walking into lamp posts, pillar boxes, etc. - although I can imagine it wouldn't take long before someone walks in front of a bus because their Google Glass told them where to go, not when it was safe to do so. I maintain that the first person, family or friend, who attempts to wear the thing in my presence, will get extremely short shrift from me. Much in the same way that I told my grandson he could get a tattoo, as long as he realised he would be cut out of my will if he did, so the choice was entirely his. Of course, it's a false threat anyway, as I'm going to spend the lot before I die and leave nothing behind.
Norman Verona
Funny that, I planned to do that (spend it all). But I find the shops won't take lumps of a house, they want money. I get so mad when I see people walking along a street shouting in a phone. Sometimes I reckon they don't need the phone, they are so loud the person can probably hear without it. At least over here if a phone rings in a restaurant they go outside to talk.
User0083
I'm anti mobiles! Everyone walks about staring at their phone, walking in middle of pavement and I've started to bark... Yes bark like a dog! and watch them jump out of their skins as I giggle. Most people end up dropping their phones. Head phones in, handsfree... Shouting down the phone and waving their arms about, I think, either that or there's many loopy people out there on the streets!!!
M444TTB
You bark at people and think others could be mental?! LOL
User0083
You bark at people and think others could be mental?! LOL I'm on massive amounts of Opioids, NSAD'S and barbiturate's... So it's allowed! I can't drive till August/September and aggressive driving is gone forever and not sure I'll be able to park a Westfield, so it's my only release! I only have 5-10% strength in left arm and will only ever get 40-50% ever.
iain m
We were shopping in Chichester yesterday ( I restrict this to 4 times a year) and we popped into a popular coffe shop/cafe for lunch, most of the customers were watching their phones displayed along side their plates, 5 young women were all furiously texting ( probably each other ). Are we ( myself excluded) all so obsessed with phones we meet up with " friends " just to watch/listed to them talking to some one else tex/phone. Sounds like a perfect example of evolution by natural selection to me. Good for the species, if not the individual member
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Will the Darwin Awards have a special category for Google Glass users, I wonder?
