The newsreader on BBC News this morning went off to do this quiz. She said she should get 100%.

After the next article she was very contrite, she'd got one question wrong.

Just 2 for me and they were guesses, I didn't understand the questions mostly.

I'm useless at grammer. I didn't attend any English lessons in the last 2 years of my schooling as I was in the metal work shop making an engine. At least I made one teacher happy. I left at 15.

I think we need to ask guest the answer to number 7.

Oh, I got 6/10

9/10 but I was lucky as the Churchill question was a guess and I wasn't sure about the last one!

This all depends on how you were taught, I got 6 out of ten but a couple were guesses. Having failed the 11 plus the school I was in was happy if you could read and write by the time you left. grammer was taught at the Grammer school.

Some of those who went to Grammer school could understand all the terms but were as thick as two planks in every other way.

9/10.  The last one was a lucky guess, though.  Clearly, I was learned proper at school.

8/10 but I had to guess the "Churchill" question - so a bit lucky there
