echoz
Isn't that the V8 that ToyBox kept trying to sell as built by a formula 1 engineer or something to the same extent?
StanS
Looks similar. Current owner has had it a year. Could a knowledgeable person help with these please ? How big a job is it to change a gearbox on a S8 ? Does the engine have to come out or can it be done from underneath ? Also, is it "straightforward" (cheap) to tell if a "spare" gearbox is OK before fitting it ? Would all wide body windscreens fit an S8 (I don't want an aeroscreen + need a half hood at least !) Cheers
Captain Colonial
DEFINITELY engine out to change tranny! Not big if you have an engine hoist and a few mates, but time consuming - probably a full weekend.
peterg
This is the one 'built by an F1 racing team engineer or some such, it's def not the same car as dashboard is totally different... http://www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk/vehicle/non-porsche/westfield-supersport-v8 and the one for sale on eBay says 'factory built' and to answer other questions above, any widebody windscreen will fit a Seight and yes, a gearbox change is an engine out job but by the sound of the advert the box is only a bit clunky when cold so could last for years yet
echoz
That's ok then
