Still grining - Just

Recommended Posts

On the four or so blasts I've in my Westy since I had it last november, have had what I think is a fuel problem.

On the last blast yesterday, 1st half of run about 10 miles fine.  Stopped at my tyre man to order new tyres.

On return leg home the engine lost power and would not cruise without pumping throttle, pulled choke out about

half and all was fine. any of you CVHers had this problem ? the engine is running on the 32/34 DFT Weber and

K&N filter. Have also fitted new service fit to carb.

Can anyone help me keep my grin.

The symptoms seem to point to it running too lean once warmed up, reinforced by the fact it runs OK with the choke half out when warm.  I'd suggest a trip to a good rolling road, where they can balance and perhaps re-jet the carbs, might be a few quid well spent.  Not a huge issue from what I can see.

/CVHer as well :)

Did the problems start before or after you serviced it?  If after, you need to look at everything you touched in the carb.

Problems started before I serviced carb - hence the service kit.

Spoke with Alan at Aldon, sending me a few jets to play with.

If I can get it running something like I will take it over to him and

he will RR it for me. but please keep your comments coming ther maybe

something I'm missing!!!!!
