Fat Thor Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I think we've just found a new king of the buttons and dials. And no, I'm not going to insult your dash, I think you could probably plough my house up with that! I do think you should bring it to Stoneleigh though, you could give rides round the show ground. Funny you should say that, before I moved to essex the farm I worked at was here on google maps 52.339115, -1.509998 Quote
alexander72 Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Farmer, had to be essex with Tractors that big Quote
Doug Dastardly Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I've carted silage off the stoneleigh car parks before. Farmer, do you know Steve T. from gregoir besson? I couldn't make out if your demo subsoiler was from them but your plough was. Quote
iain m Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 My tractor experience as a boy with Fordson Majors some 60 plus years ago looks stone age compared with todays equipment, we had to pace a field out before ploughing and mark out by driving a straight line between two 6ft stakes. An average 15 acre field would take a couple of 10 hour days to plough, todays kit is mind boggling. Quote

I couldn't make out if your demo subsoiler was from them but your plough was. I used to work for Bomfords ltd based in stratford but they owned park farm (next to stoneleigh) Used to grow spring onions. The red subsoiler is a Keeble Bros based in South woodam in Essex. Don't know Steve, I have met Harvey (South east) and Josh (National) who came a gave me a few pointers when I started about three years ago. Both helpful chaps and another called Andy who found me the spare parts when I had a breakdown last year. Quote
alexander72 Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Evening all, I picked up the Ferguson TE20 today - drove it home - 48 miles - loved every minute of it..... was a bit chilly mind :-) Great motoring akin to the westy apart from all the nods and thumbs up came from people over 65. A great addition to the garage.... Quote
