I agree with Thos. However, Hamilton has mellowed during the last 3 seasons.

In terms of Hamilton the man I think we've only seen glimpses due to the way McLaren manage things. I honestly think a lot of people are put off by Hamilton because they his lifestyle isn't their lifestyle. The moments of stupidity have simply helped give them some validation.

Interesting to note in his BBC article that he doesn't like hanging the back end out, which was the perception. Apparently this is / was the way the McLaren car bahaved with him driving and the Merc suits his preferred style of pushing towards under steer. All taken with a pinch of salt of course. Not least as his 2013 Merc is his fav car when you would think the 2008, or perhaps 2007, McLaren would be the pick simply because it was successful.
